Students Participate in Agriculture Program

5th Grade Learns How to Start and Grow a Plant From Seed
Posted on 03/29/2021
Savannah Jones, former student of Ms. Julie Stroud, visited the fifth grade class at ERES to teach the students how to start and grow a flower from a seed. Savannah owns and operates Jo’s Flower Company in Cross Plains.
Mrs Stroud’s class participated in The Tennessee Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. This curriculum was established to promote “agricultural literacy”, or a greater awareness, understanding, and appreciation of agriculture’s influence on our lives, to students throughout the state of Tennessee.

The fifth grade students will also be learning about other crops and farming processes in the near future, from Mr. Willis Jepson and Mrs. Paula Carr will teach the students how to make butter.
